My Faith IS My Brand

Why I Mix Religion and Business

You may wonder, as many have, why I mix my faith and my business. That’s okay!!! I am happy to explain! After all, if you have been in the business world for more than a second you have probably heard (or gotten the feeling) that you NEVER mix religion or politics with business. That may work for some people, but it does not work for me. My faith IS my brand!

God gave me life.

Everything I have, everything I am, I have God to thank for. He gave me such a precious gift in life. I often look around at the stunning beauty of the world and am just in awe by His creations. There is beauty everywhere and it is often overlooked. More than that I find myself stunned by people, how different we all are, how we work, how the body works! In fact, that is the reason I even started in photography. I love capturing the beauty and essence of Gods people.

Col. 1:16 – For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

God gave a great sacrifice for me.

Can you imagine dying for someone? Maybe you can. But can you imagine sending someone you LOVE to die for someone else? I can’t! I can’t even begin to fathom how much love you must have to make that choice. And if He is willing to do that for me then why would I ever hide it?

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God told us to go out and make disciples.

He didn’t say, “but only in your off time” or “but not at work”. He said GO, as in GO and DO, all the time, no matter the place. My brand is me, and I am my faith.

Matt. 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

I am not ashamed.

I am so beyond thrilled for what God has done for me that I want to shout it from the rooftops! I want to praise His name and declare His glory! Having a fire for Christ that burns bright so others might see is who I want to be. I don’t want people to WONDER if I am a Christian, I want them to be unable to deny it!

I am alive because of God. I have my business because He blessed me so I won’t hide it. It is WHO I am. What others do in their business IS their business. As for me and my brand, we will follow the Lord.
